snort 2.0.6 for 0.4.x

This is a repackage of the 0.3.x package of snort. This package has not been tested for full functionality or operation and is considered very beta at this point.

snort is a network intrusion management tool.

Snort can be installed with

I would like to uninstall snort but since it's not listed in the instaleld packages ... how can I do that?

Hmmmmm, are you certain it is actually installed?

You can manually look for the uninstall script and run it with

/pkg/db/install/snort-2.0.6-lightning uninstall

If that fails then somehow the script has been deleted. Regardless you can always just disable the package rc_ scripts if they are installed and running in the package Disable/Enable section of the setup. The two scripts to disable are

rc_snort
rc_snortblock
