120 mbit/s trough freesco How can I do this

Postby Dutchblack » Fri Feb 18, 2011 6:51 am

Hi all,

I have a 120 mbit/s Internet connection that is suffering becuase my 100mb cards can not handle it well.
My only chance is to be able to intall a giga lan in that works on my freesco router.
Does anybody has experience with giga cards on Freesco
I would like to know what card to buy and what driver to install

thanks in advance for your help.

Yes the Netgear GA311 works perfectly in FREESCO and it is supported in the stock drivers in 0.4.3 and it can be used in other 0.4.x systems if you use this driver

Zyxel GN680-T too.
I am curious, is this a question or a comment.
In either case I would be very curious as to the main chip information and what the /proc/pci information looked like in FREESCO with the card installed.

Vendor id=10ec. Device id=8169.
Interesting that they use the "Realtek" vendor ID for there card. But the good news is that the driver will work on another known card.
