I really need information about this.
The primary thing is to install the "PoPToP" package. Past that it is not complicated to configure the package to make FREESCO a VPN server. This is assuming that FREESCO is already configured as your main router, however it could be configured without it being your main router but it complicates the configuration a lot.

Yes the system would need to be a hard drive install to be used as a VPN server. Theoretically it could be installed as a ramdisk package, but you would have to reinstall and configure it every time you rebooted or the power went out. Or you would need to recreate your own customized package that was pre-configured which would take some extensive packaging knowledge and auto load it as a ramdisk package at every boot from your own server somewhere on your own LAN or ISP web site. But if you just want to try it as a test drive then enable the ramdisk and install it using the "ramdisk" option instead if the "install" option and you can play with it live before committing to a hard drive install.

PoPToP is a pacvkage and has to be installed by the system. So for the 03x series of FREESCO use
Code: Select all
pkg -i  -/poptop-1.1.3j-lightning
