Net::SSLeay for 0.3.x

3rd Party Package Requesting

Postby dream5 » Mon Jun 14, 2004 5:49 pm

Searched the forum and found Dingetje's ssl perl package Net::SSLeay for 027.
I'm running 03x and want to try and modify the perl ddclient for secure (https)
dynamic dns updating to dyndns.org. I think the ddclient script I found only
supports http. Could someone help with a Net::SSLeay module for 03x or
other tips?
Thanx

You can probably use the 027 package to get the module installed.

Requirements:
1) perl 5.6.1 package must be installed (doh)
2) OpenSSL package must be installed
3) GNU tar must be installed (f.i. my utils_1.0 package)

Then do this:

Code: Select all
cd /pkg
snarf -n http://dingetje.homeip.net/beta/Net_SSLeay_1.21_dingetje.tgz
tar -zxvf Net_SSLeay_1.21_dingetje.tgz
cd /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/i386-linux
tar -zxvf /pkg/mnt/router/packages/perl/lib/Net_SSLeay.tar.gz

Now try a perl script with the Net::SSLeay module:

[Linux] perl -MNet::SSLeay -e 'print Net::SSLeay::get_https("www.bacus.pt", 443, "/")';

You should get something like this:
<!--html--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td>HTML </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--html1--><<span style='color:blue'>title</span>>ssl2<<span style='color:blue'>title</span>><<span style='color:blue'>h1</span>>ssl2<<span style='color:blue'>/h1</span>>
HTTP/1.1 200 OKDATETue, 15 Jun 2004 15:46:35 GMTSERVERApacheLAST-MODIFIEDWed, 19 May 2004 02:46:55 GMTETAG"29-20-1240a5c0"ACCEPT-RANGESbytesCONTENT-LENGTH32CONNECTIONcloseCONTENT-TYPEtext/html; charset=ISO-8859-1[Linux]<!--html2--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--html3-->

Cleanup:
cd /pkg
rm Net_SSLeay_1.21_dingetje.tgz
rm -fr mnt

Simple eh?

Please let me know if this works for you.
