New Putty Beta 0.59 (released 2007-01-24) !

A new Putty version beta 0.59 was released at 2007-01-24 !!!
Not exactly new news but might be for some.

The last time was 2005 so this means all sorts of good things

It seems to me to connect much faster to my box in Lan (SSH)
It also has a huge improvement in response time to keyboard commands so the copy paste is much better now

Don't forget to set under "Terminal"->"Keyboard" the function + numpad to be "linux" so that you can use Midnight Commander with greater ease...

"dmesg" gives some of the verbose output from the boot, very useful to debug hardware from afar / with no monitor...
"reboot" will reboot...
"exit" will end terminal
"beep" and some creativity can do creepy things , to really scare people take a look at lightning's sound package, if you have the right specs and hw...
