Troubles with PopTop

Postby bec » Mon Jun 14, 2010 2:11 am

Hi,

I installed PopTop last night. It started fine & I was able to log into my router from my work laptop via it's GSM wireless connection. I could navigate the Freesco Web admin panel just fine. However when I returned to my home laptop Freesco had died. Stone dead. Couldn't be pinged, no contact at all. Neither my nor my son's laptop could access the internet.

I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong. I've attached a report.

Thanks

Brian

can you also attach the PoPToP configuration as well. This can be done by using this command
Code: Select all
report "cat /etc/ppp/pptpd.opt"

Then attach a new report.txt
If you are afraid that you might make a mistake. The chances are high that you will never learn anything.

I couldn't get the command to work, however here is the file nominated:
l
ock
lcp-echo-interval 30
lcp-echo-failure 3
name router.inet
auth
nobsdcomp
proxyarp
-chap
-chapms
+chapms-v2
#mppe-40
mppe-128
mppe-stateless
ms-dns 192.168.101.1
## If you have samba installed and configured as a wins server uncomment the
## next line and put the correct IP address in place.
#
#ms-wins 192.168.101.1

No config changes have been made so the previous report.txt is representative.

I hope this is the information you need to help.
Thanks for your interest.

Yes it is what I asked for, but I showed the wrong file. What I really need is the /etc/pptpd.conf file as well.

No problems. The only active lines in the file are:
localip 1.1.1.100-105
remoteip 192.168.101.100-105

Thanks again

Unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you want to look at it I do not see anything wrong with any of your configuration. So I am not quite sure what to tell you on how to resolve the current issue.
