Webpage Acess On Apache

Support section for FREESCO v0.3.x 3rd Party Packages

I configured apache (httpd.conf) and changed #ServerName dingetje.homeip.net with my ServerName and restarted the server, but when I try to access the webpage (http://my router ip/index.htm) it fails. What is wrong here?

The ServerName is really of no relevance to the server running other than if you are using Virtualhosts. Because all it is really used for is dynamically building a directory index or error pages. Secondly do you actually have a index.htm file or should you just be using
Code: Select all
http://router-ip/
or
http://router.inet/

Without listing an exact file.

Also does it display any errors at all when you use

rc_httpd restart

and did you change ANY other settings in the httpd.conf file ?

You also can go to the web control panel and look at all of the Apache error logs to see if it shows anything.
If you are afraid that you might make a mistake. The chances are high that you will never learn anything.
