Dear Avira customer,
As stated on the Avira website, our support for the platform
"Linux/i386 (libc5)" will end on 31 Aug 2007. In order to
continue using Avira products on affected systems, you will
need to update your system to Linux/i386 glibc 2.0 or higher.
After the update the Avira products need to be reinstalled.

That means that since September, 1 that product does'n update virus signatures.
P.S. FREESCO getting old. It's harder and harder to find sofware and hardware compatible with FREESCO.
