There is a bug in the advanced SSH extra command option. This bug prevents extra commands from being executed properly.
If you are not using any extra commands for the SSH server then this patch is not necessary.

The patch can be installed either on floppy installs or hard drive installs with
Code: Select all
pkg -i  http://www.freesco.net/patches/patches-034-1

This package requires one byte of disk free space.
If you are afraid that you might make a mistake. The chances are high that you will never learn anything.

There is a problem in the rc_masq that prevents the DHCP server from working when the DHCP client is not enabled on the external interface and the local networks are set as untrusted.
This patch resolves that problem and it can be installed with
Code: Select all
pkg -i http://www.freesco.net/patches/patches-034-2

At least 5K free is required for this patch, so if you have previously created a report, you will need to remove it before you install the patch on floppy installs.

rm -f /boot/report.txt

There has been a security problem found in 034 that relates to the "up,down, force, unforce, block, unblock" users. The problem is that when FTP is enabled it is possible to login with any of these users and gain access to the / directory with just using a "*" asteric for the password. This bug only relates to users of 034 and the simple solution is to manually edit the /etc/passwd file and delete those users from the file. An alternative is to add a password for those users in the advanced setup in the password dialout control section if you are actually using this function in FREESCO on a dialup configuration.
